Toronto Star Life Editor

Hey there folks! Have you ever thought about the crazy world of electronic funds transfer? No? Well, let me tell you, there's some wild stuff going on there. In fact, I recently came across this hilarious piece of news about the National EFT Training Institute and their letter to the editor of the Toronto Star.

Apparently, these guys are really serious about their EFT skills. So much so that they wrote a whole letter to the editor about it. I mean, who needs to write a letter to the editor about electronic funds transfer? What's next, a letter to the editor about how great the new toaster you bought is?

But let's talk about the real laugh riot here. The image that accompanied this letter. Oh boy. I don't know about you guys, but when I think about EFT training, I think about someone sitting at a desk with their eyes glued to a computer screen. But no, not these folks. They went with a stock photo of a woman leaping through the air like some sort of financial ninja. I mean, is that how you transfer funds these days? With a flying karate kick?

All jokes aside, it really is fascinating to see how technology has changed the way we handle money. From the days of having to physically go to a bank to withdraw money, to being able to transfer funds with just a few clicks on a computer. Who knows what's next? Maybe we'll all be paying for our groceries with a wink and a nod.

But until then, I'll stick to my boring old debit card. And if I ever need to learn some EFT skills, I know where to go. Just don't expect me to be doing any airborne karate moves.
